Based out of Liverpool, Sophia Essel PKA ESSEL is an electronic artist set to break onto the world stage in spectacular fashion.

ESSEL’s sound is characterised by rolling, hypnotic house, grooves warped vocals, chunky beats and euphoric breakdowns, all wrapped up with an authentically old-school vibe that has turned heads in all the right quarters.

Recent highlights include playing alongside scene leaders Pirupa and Josh Butler, headlining at Hush, Ibiza and Jacked, Lincoln to a sold-out crowd, and playing a main-room slot at the Steel Yard, London.

In 2018 ESSEL performed a main stage slot at Liverpool Pride, had her productions supported and played out at major events such as Sankeys, amnesia, Eden and many more by the likes of Hannah Wants and DJ SKT, and also had a successful radio residency for tastemaker publication Data Transmission ‘Sophia Essel Presents’ showcasing guest-mixes from artists such as ; Weiss, Jimmy Switch, Mason Collective, Illyus & Barientos and more.
