Dangello DJ Mybackyard

dangellodj is a DJ, producer and musician from Mozambique. His sets blend house, deep house, melodic house, tribal house, progressive house and melodic techno, bringing together rhythm, groove and emotion.

A drummer and bass player since the 1980s and a graduate of the Hot Club Jazz School, he approaches electronic music with the ear of a live musician. DJing since 2013, he has played at events such as Rock in Rio, Wild Lorosae, Logic Soul Prod and Techno Lisbon, as well as clubs like MOME Lisboa, Urban Beach Lisboa and ResPublica Santarém.

He’s also known for his beachside performances at Ibiza Beach Club, Lorosae Beach Club and NoSoloÁgua Albufeira. Since 2023, he’s been a resident DJ at Clássico Beach Bar by Olivier and hosts his weekly show MyBackyard by dangellodj.

His first release, "Some Sad Times", was written in memory of his mother. Inspired by Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, Dubfire and Richie Hawtin, he sees music as a universal language. A way to speak without words and keep emotion alive.
