Alex Reed

Alex Reed is a DJ whose musical style sits within the melodic side of electronic music, creating sets built around atmosphere, emotion and carefully selected progressive sounds. His approach focuses on the music itself, allowing each track to contribute to the overall mood and direction of the mix.

His Sonance Sessions mix moves through deep and melodic electronic territory, bringing together atmospheric productions, emotive vocals, intricate melodies and progressive rhythms. Featuring music from artists including Jan Blomqvist, Braxton, Romain Garcia, Monkey Safari, Kamilo Sanclemente and ANUQRAM, the selection creates a smooth and immersive journey, with subtle Afro House and Organic House influences drifting naturally into the mix rather than following a rigid genre formula.

From warm, reflective moments to deeper and more driving passages, Alex Reed's approach demonstrates an appreciation for melodic electronic music that rewards attentive listening. His place within the Sonance Sessions Melodic series reflects a sound centred on emotion, atmosphere and the natural progression of a carefully constructed set.
